Why I want to be at West Ridge
- Working as a health aide at West Ridge would be like coming home. I feel working in the office and clinic plays a key role in impacting the lives of our students. Taking care of their physical, emotional or mental health is an important part of their education. I like being the person the kids look to when they are hurt or ill. I like being that same person to their parents. Opening a clinic in a new school is something I have done before. While it is not easy, it is very rewarding. I like seeing the children each year and watching how they grow and change. I feel like a surrogate parent to the entire student body, which is like coming home.
