The Principal's Message
On behalf of School District 27J, along with teachers and support staff of Pennock Elementary, I would like to personally welcome you to our school. At Pennock, students come first. All decisions are based around meeting individual student needs to the very best of our ability. With this in mind, we are consistently working on perfecting our teaching strategies. If our teachers are better prepared through ongoing staff development and are supported with professional growth, they in turn are prepared to support the needs or our students on a variety of levels. We take extraordinary efforts to improve upon our teaching and learning daily. Currently we have weekly school-wide professional learning time devoted around the best instructional strategies, discussions about essential learning targets, analysis of student data, classroom observations, intervention planning, and coaching and reflective practice. We are devoted to each other, our families, and to our students. We have high expectations and you should too!
We stress open and ongoing communication with our staff members. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher(s) directly. It is very important to build positive relationships so that we can work collaboratively to support your child. Each teacher has an email link, or can be reached at the main office line 720-685-7500. Please feel free to contact me directly as well should you have issues that need to be addressed through the administration team. Teaching time is sacred, and our staff will make sure they respond to your needs during non-teaching times as quickly as possible.
We look forward to working closely with you and your child. We can contribute our successes to a highly qualified staff, supportive parents, and outstanding kids.
